Very, very

A sensory-friendly performance for children and adults with special needs, as well as for the very youngest audiences and their loved ones.

We invite you to a performance filled with gentle experiences that can be explored in your own way.

It is a story about discovering the world through many senses. The performance gradually changes its pace: from energetic play it moves into a calm, soothing narrative. Soft lights, delicate music, and the closeness of the performers create a safe space where every child and every adult can feel comfortable - regardless of their sensitivity or experiences.

This is a performance that does not require focusing on a plot; there is no single main character. You can watch, listen, breathe, observe colors and forms up close, and pause whenever you need a break. The actor and actress respond to the audience and make sure that everyone can find their own rhythm.

A few words appear in the performance - they are translated into Polish Sign Language (PJM) and written in Braille, so that everyone can participate in their own way.

“Very, Very” is a gentle, sensory journey that helps to tame the intensity of the world and transform it into calm. It is a perfect meeting for families looking for theatre that is intimate, safe, and full of tenderness.

It is a story told not through words, but through body, music, and presence. A performance that does not impose, but opens up - where excess turns into comfort, and the world becomes, for a moment, a place where one can truly rest.

The VERY, VERY Fairy Tale

Very, very long ago
there was a place.
Your place.
A place in you?

Very, very far away

A place too very -
but not that very,
just a little very.

In that Very
it was
very, very good,
very much the two of us,
or maybe three, four…
very together.

Very tender,
very strong.
Sometimes too very.

Everyone’s very
was searching
for its own very.

Not very here.
Not very there either.
Alone - not very.
Too many - that’s too very.
Together - just right.

Very just right.

Very, very.

And you - very too.
And you - how very?

The performance was produced as part of the project “PUKpuk, it’s us! – Universal design of culture at the Maska Theatre.”
Funding for the project comes from the initiative “Universal Design of Culture – Accessibility in Cultural Institutions,” implemented by the National Centre for Culture as part of Measure 3.3 “Systemic Improvement of Accessibility,” Priority III “Accessibility and Services for Persons with Disabilities” of the European Funds for Social Development Programme 2021–2027.
