Do not do a cannonball!

Get ready for a humorous, touching, and completely unpredictable story about the friendship between a Blind Hen and a Lame Duck — for adults and children alike!

As the heroines wander through the area, they stumble upon a swimming pool… one that only ducks are allowed to enter.
But for the bold and spirited Hen, nothing is impossible! With unbreakable determination, she pushes her way forward and wins over the initially unfriendly ducks. What’s more, she even becomes a lifeguard! Although being the center of attention goes a little to her head…

Meanwhile, the Duck doesn’t quite find her place “among her own.” She must confront shame and feelings of jealousy — her disability makes her feel inferior and overlooked. She also lacks the Hen’s courage and ease in making connections, even though it was her idea to go to the pool in the first place! Tension builds until something finally snaps, and their friendship is put to the test. How can it be repaired and pieced back together? Is there a magical way to mend a friend’s broken heart?

Presented in a light, satirical form, the performance touches on important, timeless themes related to the need for acceptance, loyalty, and sacrifice. It’s a story about how friendship isn’t always easy and often requires mutual forgiveness.

As always at the “Maska” Theatre, the show features outstanding musical accompaniment and creative visual solutions that further highlight the humorous dimension of the entire story.

Poster for the performance “Nie skakać na bombę” (Don’t Jump in with a Splash). Against a turquoise, grid-patterned background reminiscent of a plan or swimming pool tiles, several pink-and-purple birds can be seen: a duck and a hen in dynamic, almost dance-like poses. One of the characters is wearing a pink polka-dot swimsuit. The birds are shown in motion, with raised wings and legs, as if they were about to jump into the water despite the prohibition. At the bottom of the poster, the title of the performance appears in large pink letters: “Nie skakać na bombę.” The overall look is humorous and energetic, announcing a light, playful story.
