Distinctive Marks

A black theatre poster featuring an intense neon-green, stylized snake forming a shape reminiscent of an infinity symbol or the letter “S.” The snake has an elongated, segmented body, a raised head with a forked tongue, and a dynamically curved tail. In the center of the poster is the title of the performance, “Znaki szczególne”, written in an artistic, distorted typeface. At the top appears the author’s name, Kuba Kapral. On the right side is the information: “Premiere: 16 November 2025”. The Teatr Maska logo is placed in the top left corner. At the bottom of the poster are the credits for the creative team, logos of partner institutions, and the theatre’s website address. The dominant colors are neon green against a black background, giving the poster a dark, expressive, and striking mood.

Alisha is an average teenager. But what does “average” really mean? Does it mean she is between 13 and 19 years old, 140 to 178 cm tall, weighing 30 to 70 kilograms? Does it mean she spends 4 hours and 50 minutes online each week, a little more on weekends? Or does it mean she experiences challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems, and difficulties coping in society? Or maybe there is no such thing as an “average” teenager at all?

Alisha sets off into the nightmarish land of drugs, where she will try to find herself. Helping her – or perhaps hindering her – will be the Princess on a Gunpowder Grain, the King of e-Ash, Rotten Little Red Riding Hood, the Crazy Rabbit, and many other extraordinary characters.

But this is not a fairy tale. Nor is it simply real life. It is a theater that lives through questions, for which, perhaps, there are no answers…
