Very, very

opening night: 14.03.2026 r.

dir. Alicja Morawska-Rubczak

Imagine a world where everything pulsates. Colors strive to become even more colorful, sounds rise higher and layer upon one another, and movements whirl as if they never wanted to stop. It’s a space full of “too much” – beautiful yet exhausting, where every sensation chases the next.

On stage, images and sounds meet. At first, they expand, scatter, and draw the eye and ear – until suddenly, they begin to give way to silence. Movements grow calmer, the music soft and close, like a breath. In this journey from excess to harmony, we are accompanied by sounds and voices created live on stage – sometimes rustling like leaves, sometimes thudding like echoing footsteps, sometimes flowing like a lullaby. Though the performance begins with an overflow, it gently and slowly invites the audience in, opening its space with tenderness and attentiveness to their needs.

The performance is an invitation to explore together the boundary between “too much” and “just enough.” There is no single protagonist here—the protagonist is the experience shared by the audience and the performers. Delicate lights, soft sounds, and simple gestures create a safe space where everyone – regardless of age or sensitivity – can find their own rhythm and their own “very good,” or even “very, very good.”

This is a story told not with words, but with body, music, and presence. A performance that does not impose, but opens. Where excess turns into solace, and the world becomes, for a moment, a place where one can truly rest.

The performance takes the form of a spatial-musical experience rather than a traditional theatrical narrative. Its starting point is movement and sound – they guide the audience through the emotional stages of “overstimulation” and “calm.” It is not about illustrating a story, but about creating a shared space where the audience and performers stay close to one another and together move through changes in sensory intensity.

The fundamental dramaturgical rhythm is contrast: from “too much” to “just enough.” Initially, the world of the performance is dense – many simultaneous stimuli appear: pulsating music, rapid movement, an accumulation of colors and shapes. Gradually, these elements are reduced – until only an intimate, minimalist image and sound remain.

The audience – including people with disabilities and heightened sensitivity – are not mere observers at a distance; they are invited inside: seated close to the performers, able to experience the textures of materials, the whisper of instruments, the softness of light.
